Excel Export - Missing pages

I am using Excel as an export format but on some occasions only some
of the report pages are represented in the Excel output (1 page per
sheet). This doesn't happen for all exports but happens consistently
for a given set of report input parameters.
A PDF export of the same report seems fine.
Has anyone come across similar truncation of Excel exports?
