Event ID: 17052

I'm getting this error assocated with a stored proceedure and what happens is
the server locks up, stops reponding and has to be hard rebooted.
Where should I start looking to figure out why this is happening, and
resolve it?
In the event log I get an error on a product that we have not made in a long
time, but the stored proceedure for calculations with respect to this product
is firing and doing so about every couple of minutes. And then the server
crashes.
